B I T S + P I E C E S

This weekend was the Walk the Light festival! We had so much fun meeting new faces and in spite of the rain, really had a blast. We actually ended up getting completely rained out around 5pm (it was supposed to go til 10), but it was so worth it! I was really thankful for supportive friends who stopped by in spite of the weather and grateful for meeting new friends! I also shared one of my brand new products - Embroidered Monogram Wall Hangings! I still have a few left over and am hoping to list them in the shop soon. In the meantime, if you'd like to place an order beforehand, feel free to email me! They are great for wedding gifts or welcoming a new baby! I'm pretty smitten with them myself!

How was your weekend? This Monday was unusually difficult to get hyped up for, anyone else? I think it's because the weather here has been cold and rainy. It's March. I am beyond ready for Spring!

I have returned from the wonderful city of Austin and I can't even tell you what a whirlwind this weekend was! I had so much fun spending time with my two favorite people and meeting several of you guys at the Renegade Craft Fair!!

I'm really grateful for Adrienne because she not only helped with the whole event, but she watched my booth for me while I went to see Elisha run in the Spartan Race! (It was so unbelievably hot and mud was everywhere, so please excuse my appearance!) I was so proud of him for finishing in the top 9%!! There were close to 1000 racers! He's such an inspiration to me, that I'm even considering doing it next year. eeps!

We made friends with our boothmate, Jess of Fox and Brie, who sells the most darling bowties! And as always, it was so much fun walking around and meeting all of the vendors. The whole weekend was a blast, but it sure is nice to be home. I fully intend on updating the shop very very soon!! I have so many new things that I've had quite a few requests for, so I'll be sure to keep you posted friends!

Thanks so much for all of your support through comments, instagram and twitter - it means so much to me!

have a sweet week! melisa

when I go away for long periods of time

Sometimes, just sometimes, I have a whole lot going on. It's not an excuse, but it's the truth and I apologize for not being around, for like 10 days. But, now we can play catch up! So here's the last 10 days...

I participated in the Walk The Light Festival and it was wonderful! Such a success! I was so lucky to have sweet friends come out and support Pie N' the Sky. I even made some new friends like AudreyAllie. And there's no way I could have gotten through the whole day without my kind and supportive mr. He was there for all 8 hours! I am so blessed.

I was featured on Arantha's blog! If you want to read about some of my beauty essentials, hop on over here! You can find so many other great posts on beauty and health from Arantha. If you're not already a reader, I suggest you start!!

I reorganized my room! I'll be moving out in the next month or so, so I'm trying to get everything organized and I have gotten rid of SO much stuff! I am planning on doing a full post on this very very soon; and I'll share pictures too, of course.

I took some photos of sweet Nadia who just turned one! She is absolutely adorable and her princess party was the cutest! I just love her family and felt lucky to be a part of her big day!

I kind of feel like this was the most productive week I've had in a real long time; it feels good! Did you have a productive week? Anything new and exciting in your neck of the woods??

I'll be back soon, with like, an actual, real post.

Renegade Craft Fair + winter

Adrienne and I participated in our second Renegade Craft Fair this past weekend. It was SO much fun and I had a blast meeting new friends from vendors to even a few readers! It was a successful weekend for sure, and getting to do the thing I love with my sister, makes it even sweeter!

This was such a wonderful experience and we can't wait to do it again in the Spring!
