T A K E :: Sweet Sadie

I had the pleasure of taking photos of sweet Sadie a few days ago. She is just precious!  Her mom is a dear friend of mine and I was so honored to help capture this special moment in their lives. 

I'm finding the more I take photos, the more I truly enjoy it. I don't consider myself a professional photographer by any means, but I love capturing moments, seconds in an otherwise regular day and sealing it as a memory. I love the everyday and celebrating the little things - that's why I love taking photos. So while I'm growing and learning, I'm taking a few clients here and there. WE WENT ON A DATE

The Mr and I rarely celebrate holidays on the actual day. This Valentine's Day was no exception, so we celebrated today! It was a perfect day. It started with breakfast with the most delicious french toast! Then we grabbed some coffee and chai at our favorite cafe. We walked around the Japanese garden at the Ft Worth botanical garden - it was beautiful. Then we did a little shopping and bought each other our gifts! After grabbing some chocolate from Dude, Sweet, we went to the movies and headed home. It was seriously wonderful. Sometimes I forget how lucky I am, but today I was reminded of it. I hope you each had so much fun with your loved one!

in the quiet

Today was quiet. 

I didn't accomplish much, but that's okay. 

I got to spend time with the Mr and we took this photo. 

I love catching little moments of us. 

I can't wait to go through photos like these when we're old and grey and think on our great love.

new rings

Guys, I just reopened the shop. I know it's been quite some time now, and I thought I should go ahead and get on that, so I did. You will find new pretty arrowhead rings aaaand I've added new packaging. SO basically you should be pretty excited right now. Go take a peek if you'd like, or don't... either way, have a swell day!

a simple lunch

I like to have a lot of different flavors when I have my meals, so when creating my lunch I like to have smaller portions of different veggies and fruits - healthy snacks are the yummiest. The Mr. says I eat like a bird. I thought I'd share my lunch from the other day.

1 - 4 Cucumbers A La Mexicana - I always grew up eating cucumbers like this and only realized a few years ago that this is not a normal way to eat them. I like to slice my cucumber, place them atop a plate,  squeeze lime juice over them, pour chili powder and salt, and enjoy! Your life will never be the same again.

5 Cut up some fresh berries for something sweet! I like to add a dash of organic sugar - cause I have a real sweet tooth!

6 - 7 With extra cucumber slices I popped em into some ice cold water to add a little freshness - it's the best. And since I love love lime with pretty much everything, I squeezed a little bit in there too!


Nothing too fancy, but it was yummy. I also ate a sandwich, but forgot to photograph it, oops. Hope you have a lovely week my friends!

lazy sunday

 

 

True days off are rare and when they come, they are so special. I enjoyed yesterday with a nap, some dawson's creek & a little embroidery. Guys, I'm totally hooked! I find stitching to be so so relaxing and I love how they come out. I just love crafting for fun and solely to make something pretty.

I just love staying at Adrienne's home. It's filled with so many unique and special pieces. I loved being able to spend time with her this past weekend; staying up late chatting is always fun with your sister! Do you all enjoy your sister time as much as I do?? I really wish we lived in the same city so we could see eachother more oft. However, the time between only makes our time together that much sweeter! Hope you have a lovely start to your week this Monday!
