My friends and I decided to have a Friendsgiving (thanks so much Elsie, for the sweet idea!) It was wonderful and Kelsey and I had so so much fun adding all of the little details. Maybe too much fun? 

Jar names tags, garland, homemade flavored butters, full turkey dinner, sweet centerpiece, games and laughs... it was such a special night!

true to you

I've shared these necklaces before, but I thought you might like to see some of the new ones I created for the upcoming Renegade Craft fair! 

The idea behind the "true to you" necklace is simple; it's about displaying who you are, who you want to be, or who you need to be reminded to be. Not all days do I feel brave, but when I look down at my little charm, it serves as a reminder that I need not shy away from adventure, but to run towards it and Be Brave. 

Each of these little beauties are handcrafted with love. I like to think of the girl that will buy them, as I craft each one, choosing the appropriate beads and placing it on it's chain. I love each one, because they carry with them a story. They may some day change the way a girl sees herself, or remind a stranger of the beauty they have within them, as they reach out and ask, "what does your necklace say?" Yes, I'm just smitten with these.

a night in

 

I'm enjoying a night in tonight. I have a lot of crafting and prepping to do for the upcoming Renegade Craft Fair I'll be at, here in just two weeks! There's still so much to get done and it's led to quite a few late nights, but I have to remind myself how lucky I am to be doing something I love - then it makes it all worth it. I'm also really excited to share with you what I've been working on and list some new things in the shop! Hope your week is off to a great start!

My church recently celebrated it's 2nd year & we made the place look extra great for all of the festivities with some different decor. Every year we blow up photos from the last year and hang em from the ceiling. They're fairly easy to make and really add a lot to any event. So whether you're having a birthday or anniversary party, even if you want to spruce up a bare wall in your house - these turned out great and would be a great addition to any decor!

We had our photos printed online here . Since printing them on a thicker board or foam, was significantly more expensive, the mr and I decided to diy. All you need is some spray adhesive, foam board, an exacto knife, and some pretty photos!

Cover your board with spray adhesive and lay your photo on top. Make sure to press out all of the air bubbles! Let it dry for at least 20-30mins then start to cut. This can be a little tricky; if you line up the edges of the photo to the edges of the board when you first lay it down, it'll work the best. This is the most time consuming part, but that's just because we like to pay attention to detail.

All that's left is to hang! We used twine and tape to attach it to the backs of the photos. They looked great^_^

I'm loving all this nice weather! Cool breeze with the sun still shining... it's just perfection. I've been working a lot on new crafts for the shop. Pie N' the Sky will be at an event this weekend, so I'm trying to get everything for my booth in order! today was such a sweet morning. i didn't go into work today so I could get a few things done at home, work on some crafts for an upcoming event, run errands, and of course, go vote! i love mornings when I'm not in a rush and I can just open up the curtains and take in the sunshine - it's been perfect. hope your day is off to a lovely start friends!

do you ever just have one of those days where you feel like yourself? or rather, where you feel really comfortable being yourself, like for once you really know what it means to be you... you're not trying to impress, you're not searching for identity, you look in the mirror and see yourself for who you truly are, and you're alright with it. These moments are rare and special. It's these moments I cling to and call upon in my moments of insecurity. Deep down there is a girl who is confident and comfortable in her skin. I'm happy to be her today.
