Girl Talk: The Blogger

Lauren Brimley is the voice behind Busy Bee Lauren. She provides daily inspiration and beautiful pictures of her life; I think she is quite remarkable. Her impeccable taste in clothing along with her opinion, humor and general awesomespice{ness} makes her one of the most interesting people I know. I know that you will be inspired by her.

What is your job title?

Well, technically my "job title" would be a customer service representative, which is basically a fancy word for receptionist. But, since I hate my job and I find that is stifles my creativity for 9 hours out of the day, I prefer to call myself a dreamer. I constantly find myself daydreaming at work, or while driving my car, or while cooking a meal, well...basically at all times during the day. I daydream about paintings I would like to paint, on how to rearrange my furniture, or a pretty place to take photos. I am always seeking ways to be more creative!

What do you love about yourself?

This is a hard question, because most of my life I have struggled with loving myself. But I do have to say, I am a great friend. I love that I am a compassionate person, and I really put the feelings of others before my own. If my loved ones are happy, I am happy.

Who is your Role Model?

As cliche as this might be, my mom is truly my role model. She has always been a wonderful mother. She is completely selfless when it comes to us kids, and I hope to be half the mother she is to us.

What inspires you?

I am so inspired by tiny details, like a grouping of pebbles on the ground, the segment of an orange, or the veins in a leaf. I love looking for beauty in everything, especially in nature. Also, I am constantly inspired by beautiful images I find on tumblr, and by watching older films. 

What are five words that describe you?

I think you could describe me as: funny, eccentric, creative, introvert, kind.

What is your biggest insecurity?

My biggest insecurity is how I look. I don't know why, but I have a really hard time looking in the mirror. I constantly compare myself to others, and I hate it. But I am working on it, and maybe one day I will feel beautiful.

If you could be anyone for a day, who would it be?

I would love to see what it would feel like to be Zooey Deschanel. She is the epitome of adorable. And creative. And stylish. And talented. And the list goes on and on!
